Diary Entry #6
After brainstorming the basic stroyline of my theatrical trailer I have come to the idea of what I want my trailer to feel like as well as the upbeat comedic style I want to impose early on in the trailer. But thinking of potential shots has left me worrying that I am going to repeat moments in my trailer, which of course I don't want to happen. For this reason ,in the coming days I intend to watch a variety of trailers and films both near and far from my genre in order to seek fresh inspiration for shot types/angles and cuts as I think this will encourage me to be even more adventurous with my filming and editing technique. However its during times like this that I've looked back at my mood board and trailer order analysis -which taught me that I don't need to be extravagant to create a good trailer, instead I need to focus on quick cuts from different perspectives to create a flowing trailer.
